Well, two weeks ago, my novel, Never Going Back, was launched and it was a great evening. I didn't stand there dry-mouthed and speechless (the sign of a good evening, in my books), people showed up, and no one fell asleep, as far as I know. For me, the highlight was the cake my friend Rachel made, topped with an icing replica of Nelson's orange bridge and a rocket ship (rockets feature in the novel). I will post a decent photo of it once I lay my hands on one.
It's really wonderful to live in a small town. My mum's friends showed up. Parents of kids who went to the same high school showed up. Friends of friends came to wish me well. This is a great community!
The evening went smoothly thanks to the excellent organizational skills of Anne DeGrace, author of Sounding Line, Wind Tails, and Treading Water.
OK, life is rushing on again, must catch up!
Toni, to post more than one photo you just do this: after you copy in the photo's link, and before you upload, you 'add another photo' and then you should find one under the other on your post. Someone I know says she can click on and move photos on her blog, but she must have a much fancier computer than I because I have tried that and it does not work!
