Antonia Banyard emigrated from Zambia to Canada as a young child and grew up in Nelson, British Columbia. She has been published in literary magazines and anthologies in Canada, the US, England, and Australia. Her children’s non-fiction book, DANGEROUS CROSSINGS! was published in 2007 and received award nominations from the Canadian Children’s Book Centre and the Ontario Library Association’s Red Maple Award. She has degrees in writing from the University of Victoria and the University of Queensland. With her writer’s group, the Seven Sisters, she published two anthologies and performed readings at festivals, schools, and bookstores across BC. Her novel, NEVER GOING BACK, will be published by Thistledown Press in Spring 2010.
